In 2010, after studying in Nottingham (UK) and in Malaysia, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Since then, I’ve held many roles across different parts of the energy sector, below is a brief history!

Team Lead, Battery Energy Management System Development, RWE (May 2025 - Present)
  • Leading a team of controls and software engineers, to develop the software to control large-scale, grid-connected batteries

Project Development Manager - Batteries, RWE
(October 2024 - May 2025)
  • Developed large scale battery energy storage projects for the UK

Project Development Manager - Hydrogen, RWE (Apr 2022 - October 2024)
  • Developed electrolytic (green) hydrogen projects for the UK   
    
Energy Engineering Specialist/ Innovation Project Manager, Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (Oct 2018 - Mar 2022)
  • Managed funding for energy innovation programmes   
  • Gave technical advice for energy policy makers and Government Ministers

Control Room Manager, E.ON Community Energy (Oct 2016 - Dec 2017)
  • Led a team to make sure 60 energy centres supplied heat and hot water to over 25,000 customers

Development Engineer, E.ON Exploration and Production (Nov 2013 - Aug 2016)
  • Managed the project risk and opportunity process, and cost estimating, for a large Southern North Sea gas field development
  • Led an Innovation project investigating applications of additive manufacturing in oil & gas exploration and production
      
Operations Engineer, E.ON Exploration and Production (Sep 2012 - Oct 2013)
  • Gave technical support to North Sea oil and gas platforms, and a hydraulic fracturing project
      
Engineering and Leadership Graduate Scheme, E.ON (Sep 2010 - Aug 2012)
  • E.ON Exploration and Production: Delivered a power generation unit project for an offshore platform
  • E.ON Turkey: Project Management Assistant for a due diligence project for potential acquisitions
  • Citigen CHP power station: Led a successful investigation into a long standing district heating system leak
  • Ratcliffe on Soar power station: Generated a proposal for re-locating a boiler chemical dosing system to improve safety and integrity
